Excellent Health & Safety is the beating heart of all Arc Group projects. We have an exemplary safety record of which we are rightfully proud and work assiduously to maintain.
Because Health & Safety is such a priority for us, we have invested heavily in training over the years and now have a first-rate Compliance Team in Edward Fendt, H&S and Compliance Director, and Mark Henman, H&S Manager.
As a director, Edward keeps safety at the forefront of all the directors’ minds.
Edward has a long and illustrious track record in construction; he decided to make a career change and took up the role of Project Manager at Axis Europe in 1985. Since then, he has honed his Health & Safety skills so that today he is probably one of the most highly qualified SHEQ Directors in the field of construction.
Edward’s career has seen him work for Pinnacle PSG, Linbrook and, most recently Mitie. His project experience covers M&E engineering, Grade I* restoration, social housing, new-build, rail, roofing and refurbishments across all sectors.
Edward is an active member of the H&S community, serving on several influential committees, including the Government-sponsored Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CONIAC), for which Edward has been asked to set up a Working Well Together regional group in Kent with the aim of spreading the H&S gospel to smaller construction companies.
In short, Edward is a “big hitter” whose knowledge and expertise are second-to-none and we are fortunate to have him on our team. We set out his CV below.
Working alongside Edward, Mark Henman plays a key role in maintaining our exemplary safety record. With over 30 years’ experience in electrical engineering and communications technology, 23 of which were spent at British Telecom on an extensive range of installations, his site knowledge is second-to-none. He has comprehensive hands-on experience which serves him well in his role of H&S Manager.
